Zeb Wise
WITH SAM MCGHEE MOTORSPORTS
SCHEDULE

Zeb Wise is the driver of the Sam McGhee Motorsports #11 Wing Sprint car. 2020 will be his first year as a full time sprint car driver, as he will pursue the Ollies Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions schedule, along with select World of Outlaw and local sprint car races. Alongside the SMM #11, Zeb will pilot the Keith Kunz Motorsports #71 at select USAC national midget events.

Zeb resides on Crooked Lake in Angola, IN with his parents Chad and Lisa. He was an Angola Schools student through the 8th grade and was the 7th grade Male Student of the Year.

Following his 8th grade year, Zeb shifted gears and enrolled in the Indiana Connections Academy, an online institution that provided him the opportunity to travel the country and compete in national races more often. He is currently a Sophomore and is enrolled in the high honors classes with a 3.8 grade average.

Zeb’s career propelled forward when the opportunity of running for a prestige midget team was brought to his attention by Tim Clauson. This opportunity lead to 3 years with Clauson Marshall Racing, collecting 4 USAC National wins, as well as the biggest of his career, the 2019 BC39 at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As the 17 year old continued to impress, it caught the eye of 20 year old sprint car team owner Sam McGhee. Who at the time, was engaged in a battle for the 2019 Ollies Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions championship. With the help from Sam, his dad Mike, crew chief Derek Miller, Zeb, and his dad Chad, the team agreed to run a few races at the end of 2019 to see how the team would do. In just the first night, they managed to put together a spectacular run at Jacksonville speedway, charging from 20th to 5th. That kick started what would turn in to be a full time ride for the 17 year old, with help from partners Sundollar Restoration, Specialty Rigging, XYZ machining, and many more. As running sprint cars is his main focus in 2020, he will still have some open dates to hop back in a midget from time to time. Zeb will team up with multi-time Chili Bowl and USAC national midget champion team Keith Kunz Motorsports. Needless to say, the 17 year old will have a busy year ahead of him.
